Privacy policy (GDPR)
Last updated: 12 September 2026
TORPP is committed to ensuring that the collection and processing of your personal data complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU Regulation 2016/679) and with the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended.
1. Data controller
The data controller for personal data is TORPP, represented by its Chair, Mme Stéphanie Nogue, who can be reached at association.torpp@gmail.com.
2. Data collected and purposes
The website currently has only two points of personal data collection:
| Purpose | Data collected | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to contact requests | Name, first name, email address, message (sent by email to association.torpp@gmail.com) | Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
| Donations and volunteer applications | Name, first name, email address and message content, sent by email to association.torpp@gmail.com. No banking data is collected by the website. | Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
This policy will be updated as new features are added to the website (online membership, conference registration, newsletter).
3. Data retention period
- Contact requests: kept for as long as necessary to process the request, then deleted within one year if there is no further exchange.
- Donations and volunteer applications: kept in accordance with applicable accounting obligations, in particular five years for records supporting a tax receipt.
4. Recipients and data transfers
The data collected is intended exclusively for:
- Authorised members of the TORPP Executive Board and coordination committee;
- OVH SAS, the website's technical host, acting as a data processor within the meaning of article 28 GDPR, whose servers are located in the European Union;
- YouTube (Google LLC, United States), only if you choose to play a video on the Our Actions page — see point 6.
No personal data is sold, transferred or rented to third parties. No data is transferred outside the European Union without appropriate safeguards recognised by the European Commission, except for the voluntary loading of a YouTube video, which relies on your explicit, prior consent (point 6).
5. Your rights over your data
In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right of access and rectification (art. 15 and 16 GDPR);
- Right to erasure, or the "right to be forgotten" (art. 17 GDPR);
- Right to restriction of processing (art. 18 GDPR);
- Right to object to the processing of your data (art. 21 GDPR);
- Right to portability of the data you provided (art. 20 GDPR);
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time for processing based on it.
To exercise these rights, or for any question about the processing of your data, you can contact us:

If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
6. Cookies and trackers
This website does not set any audience-measurement cookies or third-party advertising trackers, and does not use any website analytics tool.
YouTube videos. The Our Actions page features videos hosted on YouTube. They are not loaded when the page opens: only a preview image, served from our own servers, is displayed. No data is sent to Google until you choose to play a video.
If you choose to play a video, the YouTube player is then loaded: YouTube (Google LLC, United States) receives your IP address and sets trackers on your device, in accordance with its own privacy policy. This transfer outside the European Union relies on your explicit, prior consent, within the meaning of article 49.1.a GDPR, given by clicking the play button.
This choice is remembered in your browser's local storage: other videos on the site will then load directly, including on your next visits. To withdraw it, clear the site data your browser holds for torpp.org: the videos will revert to simple preview images.
Should the website come to use an audience-measurement tool or other trackers, this section will be updated and a consent banner will be added before any such technology is activated.
